About Me
I'm April — a mom and a teacher, which pretty much means I never stop multitasking. This blog is where I keep track of the chaos: the parties, the recipes, the allergy scares, and the ordinary days in between.
My house is full of what I call my Mojitos and Munchkins — my kids, in other words, at every stage from newborn to toddler to "why is this happening again." Writing about them, and about my own stumbles along the way, has become my way of making sense of it all.
Teaching gave me patience I didn't know I had. Motherhood tested every bit of it. Between lesson plans and diaper changes, I've learned that most of parenting is improvisation — and that the mistakes usually make the better stories.
What I write about
Life with three kids doesn't leave much room for a single topic, so this blog wanders — food allergies we've navigated firsthand, birthday parties we've planned, recipes that actually got eaten, and photos I've tried (and sometimes failed) to take well.
