Using Technology to Improve Your Life Balance as a Working Mom

If you face the facts, we live in a world of ever growing and expanding technology. It is literally all around us. With that in mind, it is smart to make use of this technology to your advantage. This is especially true for working moms who are trying to juggle being a mom, taking care of the house, and working a full-time job. The good news is there is an app for that! In fact, there are a lot of apps available for that. Instead of becoming swamped with life and everything that goes along with it, use technology to...

The Newest Mammarazi on the Block

Dear Mojitos & Munchkins family, It is no secret that I like love strongly adore photographing my children. Where they see me, they see a mom fanatically taking photos. My mammarazi’ing has taken on different phases throughout my years. Pre-children, I could be seen proudly carrying around my Digital SLR camera, properly worn around my neck while shooting, and just-as-properly put away in its’ traveling case when I wasn’t. Child #1 came around, and I continued to document every big (and small) milestone, but eventually gave up on “properly” wearing the neck strap. After all, kids move so damn fast that...

WAHM Series: A Day In The Life…

This post is part of the Work-at-Home-Mom Blog Series Hosted By Becca Day. Being a mama is a J.O.B. In and of itself, mommin’ is quite possibly the hardest thing you’ll ever do. What other job makes you feel guilty, sleep deprived, ready to tear out your hair, and full of love and happiness on a daily basis? But for some, being a mama is not enough. Some will go back to work, and others will take it upon themselves to start a side hustle. If you are considering working from home while you have little kids, then this is the series...

The #SAHMInternship officially begins today!

Here we are folks. Day one of 365. My #SAHMInternship kicks off today! The little ducklings are off to their own adventure. #1 is confidently off to conquer 2nd grade, #2 is apprehensively anticipating friendships in preschool, and #3, well, she’s now my full time sidekick and gets to be treated like an only child a few hours out of every day. After years of tossing half-frozen waffles into the backseat and having the only morning conversation being nagging to get shoes on, today was like a breath of fresh air. Seriously. Check me out on day one: Showered, wearing jewelry,...

I’m a (pretend) gym mom

As a working mom, I’ve been dropping my kid(s) off at their daycare/ school/ preschool for 7 years. During that time I’ve observed all walks of life doing the same as me. The accountant mom, dressed to the nines in her business suit but pairing that suit with white sneakers to avoid scuffs on her heels. The car salesman dad, button shirt and tie, ready to tackle the day. The yoga-clad mother with her tank and work-out pants, anxious to get some sweating in before she has to get to her day of carpools and soccer practice and life as a...

I’ve accepted a new position…

Dear Friends & Family, Some of you may have heard that I am about to embark on a new career path. After nearly a decade of spending my falls setting up a classroom and welcoming students to the halls of my beloved school, I have been approved to take a one-year leave from the place I love. As of today, I am officially a Stay-At-Home-Mom. (SHRIEK). To be clear: I haven’t yet decided if that is a happy shriek or a scared shriek. Because this venture has both a start and an end date, I have decided to call it...
